October 5, 2020
As Calgary is slowly recovering from the pandemic over the previous months, I am happy to announce that Maria Theresa Bridal will finally be reopening and slowly accepting appointments in my home studio beginning OCTOBER 5, 2020. There will be strict guidelines for each appointment with NO EXEMPTIONS. This is to help keep YOU - my clients - myself and my household safe.
Please make sure to read and follow all these guidelines in preparation for your appointment.
WEAR A MASK. A mask must be worn for the entire duration of your appointment. I will not be providing masks so please make sure to have your own. I will also be wearing a mask. NO FACE MASK = NO APPOINTMENT (Face Shields are not considered masks)
SANITIZE. Please sanitize your hands before coming in for your appointment, a hand sanitizer is provided at the front door.
BE ON TIME. Please come on time for your appointment to make sure there is no overlap between you and a client before or after and to allow me enough time to clean and sanitize the studio. If you come earlier than your appointment, please wait inside your car until it is time for your appointment.
NO GUESTS. Absolutely NO guests will be allowed with you during your appointment. I understand that it is an exciting experience to have your loved ones see you in your bridal gown but with the current circumstances, it will pose a higher risk of exposing myself and other clients to the virus.
RESCHEDULE IF YOU FEEL SICK. Please cancel & reschedule your appointment to a later date if you are feeling sick or showing COVID-19 symptoms. Your temperature may be taken upon entry and If I notice you are sick, you will be asked to leave and reschedule. I will also reserve the right to cancel and reschedule appointments if I feel sick or showing COVID-19 symptoms.
We are excited to see you and all your gorgeous wedding dresses again!

The government of Alberta is in the process of implementing the “Relaunch Strategy.” They have indicated that there will be 3 stages of which businesses and services may reopen, Maria Theresa Bridal falls under stage 3. If the relaunching plans of the Alberta government succeeds, Maria Theresa Bridal will resume business as soon as it is 100% safe to open.

Closing Maria Theresa Bridal's doors indefinitely for the first time since we started business has been tougher on us than we had anticipated. So much uncertainty and worries, It’s like losing our purpose. But after gathering ourselves together, we were reminded by our other passion, helping the community. And what better way than to combine both our passion for sewing and our passion for serving.
Maria Theresa Bridal will be making face masks to donate (100% free of charge) to our front line workers and immunocompromised members of our society. Also, thanks to kind-hearted community members who have donated additional fabrics and materials to make these face masks, we have donated 200 reusable fabric face masks and counting!

In accordance to the government of Alberta’s order to close down all non-essential businesses and for the health and safety of the staff and all of the clients, it is with a heavy heart that Maria Theresa Bridal have temporarily closed indefinitely.
It is truly a difficult time and no one would have anticipated any of this to escalate so quickly.
